How To Learn Faster…And Get Ahead of the Competition
A quick tip…
If you’re serious about self-improvement and forward momentum, odds are you’re constantly filling your head with new knowledge and learning every chance you can.
Over the years my personal library has grown quite a bit, but lately I don’t have as much time to read as I used to. (But I still make sure to read everyday!)
One solution I’ve enjoyed is audio books or programs.
The amount of time I spend driving is insane – and maximizing that time is crucial to reaching my goals.
I’m not going to take too much time here explaining why YOU should be listening to educational programs in your car, essentially a university on wheels. I’m going to assume you already know the value.
But, I’ve just started doing something that has increased how much information I can take in by 50% for the same amount of time. (and I’m working towards a 100% increase.)
What am I doing differently? I’m listening to those same audio programs at 1.5 speed instead of normal playback.
I load my audio programs onto my phone, and I have a setting that allows me to change the speed.
I’ve read that the mind can handle upwards of 300 to 400% speed increase, even if it feels far too fast to understand.
I’m not there yet, but at a 1.5 time speed I can power through a my material much faster and I’m loving it.
Of course, when you first try you might think it’s a bit silly and you have a hard time understanding what’s being said but within a few minutes you’ll actually forget is playing faster and it’ll seem normal
Now, I’m not 100% sure if your music player has that option, but my phone – a Samsung – does, and I love it.
